How NYX works

NYX is a trading terminal for Solana and Robinhood Chain built around one rule: show the evidence before the opinion. Market data comes from DexScreener's public API and from the chains themselves. The analyst (NYX) only ever reads facts the server already gathered; it never invents a number, and every verdict and forecast it gives is written to a public record.

The universe

The server keeps a set of pairs per chain that it re-reads every 30 seconds in 30-address batches: pairs with recent DexScreener profiles or boosts, search results for the chain, every pair visited on the site, and on Robinhood Chain every token launched on Pons in the last ~200k blocks. Pairs with under $1k of liquidity that have not been seen for six hours are dropped. Discover tabs (Trending, New pairs, Gainers 1h, Volume, Curve) are rankings over that universe; the Trending score weighs 5-minute and 1-hour flow against liquidity and trade count.

Signals

Two consecutive reads of a pair are compared. Alerts are only emitted when the difference is material relative to the pool:

  • Buy surge / Sell surge: ≥ $1.5k or ≥ 4% of liquidity traded since the last read, with buys at least double the sells (or the reverse). High severity at ≥ 12% of the pool.
  • Liquidity dropped / added: a 20% fall or 50% rise in pool liquidity within one read.
  • ±12% in 30 s: price moved 12% or more between reads.
  • New pair: first seen and under 30 minutes old.
  • Boosted: paid DexScreener boosts increased. Attention, not flow.
  • Whale buy / sell on the curve (Robinhood only): exact Pons curve events above 0.03 ETH, with the wallet and the transaction hash.

Alerts stream over /api/stream (server-sent events) and are kept for the last 400.

Scam check

Each step is an on-chain read, shown with its evidence and explorer links before the analyst sees anything.

Solana

  • Mint and freeze authority (live or revoked), token program (spl-token or token-2022) and extensions such as transfer fees or a permanent delegate.
  • Holder concentration from the 20 largest token accounts, with pool and program-owned accounts separated from wallets. Top-10 wallet share and the single largest wallet.
  • Launcher funding trail: the mint authority or the largest wallet, its first transaction, who funded it, two hops deep.

Robinhood Chain

  • Ownership (owner(), renounced or not) and the EIP-1967 implementation, admin and beacon slots: an upgradeable proxy is a red flag.
  • Launch record from the Pons factory: deployer, curve, graduation, creator tax, socials.
  • Holder distribution rebuilt from Transfer logs (bounded scan), curve, pool and dead address separated.
  • Deployer history: every Pons launch from the same wallet and how many of them reached the DEX, plus its balance and transaction count.

The analyst then returns a 0–100 score (clear ≤ 25, caution ≤ 60, danger above), flags tied to the exact facts, the checks that came clean, what is missing, and the one piece of evidence that would move the score most. Verdicts are cached for ten minutes per pair and stored on the record.

Forecasts

A forecast is a direction (up, down, flat), an expected range in percent, a confidence and an invalidation, for a 1-hour, 4-hour or 24-hour horizon, from the flow data and the signals only. It is stored with the price at that moment. When the horizon ends the price is read again and the forecast is graded: direction hit or miss, and whether the move stayed inside the stated range. The hit rates are on the track record page and in /api/v1/record. One open forecast per pair and horizon at a time.

Swaps

NYX only builds transactions. On Solana the quote and the unsigned transaction come from Jupiter (1% max slippage); Phantom, Solflare or Backpack signs and sends. On Robinhood Chain, tokens still on their Pons curve are bought with ETH or sold (approve, then sell) straight against the curve contract, 3% max slippage; graduated tokens are linked to their DEX pool. Nothing passes through NYX and NYX never holds funds.

$NYX and tiers

The scam check and forecasts need a connected wallet: one signed message, no transaction, no gas. Once $NYX is live on Robinhood Chain (the CA appears in the bar at the top the minute it is set), the analyst needs the Holder tier: 0.1% of supply for Holder, 0.5% for Holder+. Balances are read from the chain every ten minutes; selling closes the tier. Daily analyst quotas per identity: Free 6, Holder 60, Holder+ 300 (the studio can change these). Until the CA is set every tier is open.

Agent API

Free JSON reads, no key:

GET /api/v1/discover?chain=solana|robinhood&tab=trending|new|gainers|volume|curve&minLiq=5000&limit=25
GET /api/v1/alerts?chain=robinhood
GET /api/v1/record
GET /api/pair/:chain/:pair # pair + signals + latest verdict/forecast
GET /api/stream?chain=solana # SSE: event "alert"

Holders can claim a CLI code on the dashboard and send it as x-nyx-code with a stable x-nyx-device id to use their quota from scripts.

Paid scan (x402)

Agents without a wallet session can pay per scan: GET /api/v1/pro/scan/:chain/:pair answers 402 with a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header listing USDG on Robinhood Chain (EIP-3009, one signature), USDC on Base, and $NYX through Permit2 once live. Retry with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE; the answer carries PAYMENT-RESPONSE with the settlement hash and the full scan: every step plus the verdict. The facilitator is NYX's own; the relayer pays the gas. Until a treasury is set in the studio the endpoint answers 503.

What NYX does not do

  • It does not pick winners or give financial advice. A clear verdict means the checks came back clean, not that the price will rise.
  • It does not see every pair: the universe is what DexScreener and the chains expose, refreshed every 30 seconds.
  • It does not hide bad calls. Every forecast stays on the record with its grade.
  • It does not custody anything. Wallet sessions are a signature; swaps are built, not sent.
